SINES DC, Portugal — Europe's Largest Data Center Campus
Start Campus is developing SINES DC in Sines, Portugal — a 1.2 GW data center campus set to become Europe's largest and most sustainable data center complex. The project has attracted major hyperscale clients including Microsoft, and is powered entirely by renewable energy using innovative seawater cooling.
The first building, SIN01 (26 MW), was inaugurated in April 2025. Construction of subsequent phases is ongoing, requiring large teams of specialists in electrical engineering, HVAC, civil construction, and data center fit-out.

Other European Data Center Projects to Watch
