The EcoDataCenter Borlänge Project
EcoDataCenter's Borlänge campus is designed to be one of Sweden's greenest data centers, using 100% renewable energy from local hydroelectric and wind power sources. The 240 MW campus will house AI computing infrastructure for Mistral AI and other hyperscale customers.
The project involves extensive construction work including server hall buildings, cooling systems, power infrastructure, and fiber connectivity. Borlänge is located in Dalarna, approximately 220 km north of Katrineholm, making it accessible for teams based in central Sweden.
The project is expected to create hundreds of construction jobs and dozens of permanent operations positions.
Accommodation Options for Borlänge Project Teams
Borlänge is located in Dalarna County in central Sweden, approximately 220 km north of Stockholm. The town offers a range of accommodation options for long-stay professionals, including furnished apartments and extended-stay hotels.
Borlänge has good transport links — the E16 motorway and direct rail connections to Stockholm and Falun make it accessible. For teams working at EcoDataCenter, accommodation in central Borlänge or nearby Falun (15 km away) is most practical.
The area has a lower cost of living compared to Stockholm, making it an attractive base for project teams on multi-month assignments.
